TweetChat

I'm finding more and more each day that the Student Affairs field LOVES social media. Not only is it a way to connect with the students on your campus, but it's also a great way to connect with professionals from other institutions. My supervisors have introduced me to a couple of field-based discussions that happen weekly via Twitter (#NEchat and #SAchat) and I love being a part of them, even if I'm just kicking back and watching the discussion unfold.

You wouldn't think that having a discussion between multiple people on Twitter is very effective, but if you're able to be in front of a computer, TweetChat is a great way to share your ideas on a topic.

TweetChat keeps a running live feed of every post with the same hash tag, as well as automatically including the hash tag to all of the tweets, so you don't have to remember to do so. You can also follow, favorite, and retweet right from the same page. So convenient! There's a list of active rooms at the top, so find one that you're interested in and hop in on the conversation. You never know who you'll meet/what you'll learn! :)
