WE ARE HALFWAY PEOPLE!!! Can't believe we are already 8 weeks into this training cycle and only have 8 weeks until Rock n' Roll New Orleans and the start of the spring race season! I'm so excited that with the registration for LA that I am officially registered for all of the races that I'm planning to run in the spring. Now just to finish up making my travel arrangements and booking accommodations. 😅
It was tough getting back into training after being sick last week, but I think both registering for LA and being accepted for Chicago really got me motivated to get back on the horse! (I mean... it's a bit of an expensive motivation method but whatever works, right? 🤪) I've gotten better at catching myself making excuses or talking myself out of workouts, which is great because I can talk myself back into them. In the past I've tended to lean into the excuses and skip workouts, but I'm trying my hardest to fight through the excuses and get shit done, and it's been paying off!
If you read my post from last week, you'll know that I'm trying to start simulate warmer temps to get ready for the warm climates I'll be running in this spring. I started with a 14 mile treadmill run on Saturday and it was NAHT fun 😂 I will say that I did definitely sweat up a storm (if you couldn't tell from the photo above 🤪) but it's so stinkin' hard to stay motivated on the treadmill for that long of time. I'm excited to do my long run down in Florida next week, but I'll need to come up with a solution moving forward when I'm back up north! I did reward myself with my fave post-workout treat:
Milky Way iced coffee! 💖
Idk about y'all but I have a ton of festive workout clothes. I always try to make an effort to put them into my rotation during the month of December, and I'm always the most festive one at the gym. 😂 Here's what I was rocking during my lift on Sunday:

I can't believe we're half way through training! This next month we'll be peaking in mileage and before I know it we'll be tapering once again. I'm getting so heckin' excited to travel down to NOLA and party through 26.2 miles as the official start to the 2020 race season! 🎉🎉🎉
