As I've made it abundantly clear from my posts last week (here & here), I basically came down with the plague last week and it really knocked me out in all aspects! Basically all I could bring myself to do last week was lay in bed and binge watch a helluva lot of Netflix while I tried my hardest not to die 🙃 Yesterday I was finally able to get back on the horse with an incline walk on the treadmill (which was actually pretty tough toward the end) and a lift. I feel like it helped ~sweat out~ some of the sickness but it was super challenging to push myself too hard without feeling like I needed to lie down!
Unfortunately because of this, I missed a 7 mile run and a 10 mile run in my training. I'm kind of bummed out because I was doing so well with hitting all of my workouts! But that just means I need to get back on the horse for week 8 and not let this totally derail all the hard work that I've put in thus far. Onto the next week of training - we're nearly half way there! 😱
