8 Years! | Blogmas Day 14

Today marks 8 years that Brett and I have been together! While 2020 has been a crazy one, we've been able to travel together, move into our own place, and welcome a four-legged furry friend into our pack. It's been a year of many milestones in our relationship and I feel lucky to have gotten to celebrate another year of love and laughter.

This evening we went to the same restaurant we went to for our anniversary last year because their food is so delicious! The cocktail you see above is called a Blue Christmas and it was incredible. We had some yummy appetizers and scrumptious entrees. I ordered the Butternut Squash Ravioli - which I also had last year - and it was just as good as I remembered it being! Overall it was a great night of celebrating each other. I wish we could do this every night!

 

A Delicious 7 Year Anniversary Celebration | Blogmas Day 15

Yesterday Brett and I celebrated 7 years together! Because it's a busy time of the year it's always tricky for us to fit in a way to celebrate, but we always make it work. This year we opted to go out to dinner at this restaurant in town called 3 which I've honestly been so curious about for years. We ate like a king and queen! We started out with cocktails (raspberry mojitos!) and nachos, and both had amazing entrees - Brett got Chicken Parmesan and I had Butternut Squash Ravioli. (I've been dreaming of the ravioli since we left the restaurant. 😂) We were absolutely stuffed to the brim by the end of the meal! It was so great to have a relaxing dinner with Brett and have the chance to talk and reminisce about our 7 years together and what the future will hold! 💕

The day this post goes live is the six year anniversary of my first date with Brett! We've been through so much together and I know we will move forward in life together for many years to come. As I'm writing this post in advance, I'm not quite sure how we're planning to celebrate this milestone, but I thought I would share a playlist of songs that remind me of us. I'm not going to give you all any context for these as each has special meaning to me for different reasons, but click play to hear the songs that I consider to be "ours". <3

Happy Vlogidays! Week 2 (December 8-14, 2016)

I always forget how freaking busy this tim of year is! We are in full December mode in our neck of the woods with plans on basically every single day of the week. It is crazy. BUT it is extra fun and that's really what matters the most! 
On this week's episode of Happy Vlogidays, we find out about New Found Glory's 20 Year Anniversary Tour and IMMEDIATELY buy tickets, I run the Ugly Sweater Run with my parents in Boston, I have one of the biggest events of the year at work, and Brett and I celebrate our 4-year anniversary! I hope you all are enjoying these vlogs - they're some of my favorite to make every year! :) See you next week with episode three!

Three Years with B

Brett and I are celebrating our three year anniversary today! This last year of our relationship has been action packed and has been a year of laying the foundation of building our life together. I always have so much fun when we're together and have so many great memories from this past year, so I thought I would share some of them here on the blog! Here are my 12 favorite memories from our third year together - one for every month - in no particular order!

1. Venturing to New Jersey to spend New Year's with our friends Noble and Jeff! We had so much fun that we are planning ringing in 2016 the same way!

2. Going to the Celtics game together in March! We were sneaky sneaky and moved our seats up from the nosebleeds to the 100's. It was also so great to spend this time together because I was away on a vacation the week before the game and I missed him!

3. Watching the Patriots win their fourth Super Bowl together!

4. Going to the shooting range with my dad on Christmas eve and learning something new together with some bonus family time mixed in! :)

5. Attending Brett's cousin's wedding. We got all snazzy and danced the night away!

6. Having him right by my side during the best week ever (birthday, new job, and graduation)!

7. Moving to my new place. The whole process was exhausting but we spent so much quality time together and Brett introduced me to Noodles for the first time!

8. Attending Brett's uncle's wedding at the lake! It was a beautiful ceremony and a super fun reception!

9. Our trip down the Cape. It was such beautiful weather this year and we were able to stay in the water and at the beach all day! Not to mention we were around a bunch of awesome people!

10. Of course, our trip to Gillette to watch the Patriots vs. Eagles game! The game didn't turn out as well as we were hoping, but the experience was so great - amazing seats, awesome tailgating, and my favorite guy by my side. :)

11. WOOD N' TAP NACHOS IN HARTFORD *drooooool*

12. Family hibachi with both sides of our family! So great to finally get everyone together and have an amazingly fun meal together.

You mean so much to me honey and every day is so much fun with you! I honestly feel so lucky to have found you. I love you so much and I can't wait to see what's in store for our future! Happy Anniversary, Brett! <3

Two Years!

Brett and I went on our first date two years ago today! The time I've spent with him has flown right by and I've been so lucky to have him by my side during some of the most challenging endeavors of my life thus far. We have grown so much as a couple this year. We've faced challenges, we've learned from mistakes, and we've made plans for the future, and it's so much fun to imagine us loving and laughing together in the years to come!

I appreciate that I have someone who listens to my rants on issues and someone that I can have meaning conversations with.
I appreciate that he encourages me when I'm down and leans on me when he's not feeling his best.
I appreciate that I have someone I can be weird around and someone that laughs at my stupid sense of humor.
I appreciate that he entertains my crazy ideas (the other night we spent about an hour talking about the kinds of dogs we'll one day have!) and pushes me to go after what I want to accomplish in life.
I appreciate that I just have someone to sit with in the quiet and just be perfectly content just being together.

It's been a wonderful journey so far and a lot of big things are going to start happening for us in the near future. Thanks so much for being a part of my life, Brett - I love you! :) <3
