In case you missed it in my Focus in 2021 blog post, I'm trying to watch more movies in 2021! I'm mainly focusing on movies that I've never seen before/don't know the story to, so that I can broaden my cinematic horizons - something that I've been meaning to do for ages! Just like I do with books, I want to take a moment at the end of each month to wrap up all of the movies that I watched so that I can track how I do throughout the year.
I'm off to a great start this year with watching 4 movies during the month of January! It's actually been so much fun to watch recommendations from friends and family, and Brett has been watching each movie with me so it's been a great way for us to spend time together as well! I'm looking forward to continuing on with this challenge in February! Here's what I ended up watching last month:

GENRES
I'm going to track my genre stats for movies a bit differently than how I would for my reading. Generally with books I'll only count one overarching genre for the story because that's a bit easier to nail down. With movies, however, I feel like there's always multiple genres that you can apply! So I'm going to count every genre that IMDb assigns to each movie I watch, even if it far outweighs the number of movies I watch.
