July 2019 Reading Wrap Up! (BEDA Day 1)

Happy August, y'all!
And let's hope that it is, indeed, a happy August.

I thought I'd kick off BEDA with a quick reading wrap up from July. I mentioned in my blog post on Monday about how my mental health has really made me not want to be in front of a camera right now, and although I kind of forced myself to vlog during various readathons in August, I really don't feel well enough to watch through that footage right now. So why not share what I've been reading through a blog post!

July was really action packed and I found it really hard to concentrate on the books I was reading (maybe a precursor to my current mental state tbh) but I actually read quite a few books that I absolutely LOVED and one or two that will likely end up on my 2019 favorites list!

I think for August I'm really going to be taking a more laissez-faire approach to my reading - what will get read will get read, and what won't, won't. I am doing the N.E.W.T.s and another round of my BOTM month, but I'm really trying to take all forms of pressure off me in the coming months! I'm already feeling some of the positive effect of taking the pressure off myself and letting go of control of things that usually consume my mind with worry. I'm really not the kind of person that can easily do this but I think my mental state right now has been a really huge wake up call and hopefully I can make some changes to the way I approach life throughout this season of seeing myself in a new light.
